Why we wanted to have a flying artist’s room on our school grounds …
The teachers
- because it’s cool
- because it’s something that sparks curiosity
- because you can arouse interest in various topics without the pressure of grading
- because it’s a splash of colour in our everyday lives
- because it’s always there, highly visible and easily accessible
- because it sets us apart from other schools
- because it gives us new ideas
- because it allows us to “escape from everyday life and escape to …?”
- because we want to be able to do more and think bigger
- because students will come across works of art and be invited to see, learn and try something new and different
- because it offers potential for new ways of learning, fun and variety
- because shared endeavours bring us together
- so that we can think out of the box
The headteacher
- The flying artist’s room stands for learning with all the senses

Why it needs to be a visual artist …
The teachers
- A free artist within the boundaries of school
- Explore free spaces together
- Use artistic approaches that go beyond what most students are familiar with
- New ideas, perspectives and experiences for our students
The headteacher
- because we want to use the visual arts and installations to expand the concept of art for our students
- because our skills are weakest in this area and because we have such fantastic grounds and plenty of space
